Integration services further leverage this ability by accessing key corporate data including organisational structures, employee information, financial information and key performance indicator information from existing business systems.

CA Technology offers two hosting options for the interplan® Executive software package, the option for interplan® to be hosted centrally or hosted on the Council’s own server.
Centrally Hosted
With the centrally hosted option, interplan® runs on high availability Intel based hardware with multiple processors, large amounts of physical RAM and fault tolerant high performance hard drives.
interplan® is hosted in the Internode datacenter, a well established ISP who has comprehensive server hosting facilities (high bandwidth connections, climate controlled environment, Uninterruptible Power Supply etc). In addition, comprehensive disaster preparedness procedures are followed with daily differential, weekly, monthly and quarterly off site backups and redundant hardware. All backups are kept for three months, and then every 3rd monthly backup is kept for seven years.
Site Hosted
Hosting interplan® internally on Council’s own server can provide many benefits including the ability to integrate with your own internal systems such as HR/Payroll, active directory and data storage systems for performance indicators (subject to negotiation with CA Technology and the providers of your systems). This can provide both time savings as well as a ‘single’ integrated system for your planning, reporting and monitoring requirements.
Benefits can also be gained if your organisation experiences periods of irregular internet line speed at certain times of the day. On this basis, the benefits in self-hosting interplan® can also extend to consistent speed of the software without the need to rely on external internet providers.
The self-hosted option of interplan® can be set up as either a single tier or two tier system.
