interplan® Risk Management Launch
August saw the release of the interplan® Risk Management Module in Australia. With the release came two launch events - one in South Australia and one in Victoria. The launch events included a comprehensive demonstration of the module’s capabilities as well as a presentation by the regional managers on the business logic behind the module.
The module was well received in both states with many clients expressing interest in the module. We also received some fantastic feedback from the events which allowed us to further modify the module to suite client’s needs.
The main feedback from the demonstrations was how logical and easy to use the module is. Many clients were also impressed with the way the module graphically represents a risk status. The first stage release of the module included reporting in the areas of operational, strategic and project risks; with more reports due for release as the module progresses.
To coincide with the Risk Management Module’s release, the Local Government Managers Magazine (LGM) August/September edition has featured an article on page 33 written by Managing Director Joe Collins, which discusses Risk Management and the interplan® product. Also featured in this edition is an information flyer regarding the Risk Management Module. If you can get your hands on a copy of this month’s LGM it is bound to be a good read.
For those of you who have yet to see the interplan® Risk Management Module please feel free to contact one of our Regional Sales Managers whose details are provided below they will be happy to arrange a demonstration for you!

Toowoomba City Council
Toowoomba City Council recently purchased interplan® and have already began implementation. We are currently in the process of integrating their HR and Financial system with interplan® which will provide a single point of data entry
The specific benefits of integrating Toowoomba’s Business Systems with interplan® include:
•Users no longer need a password for interplan; the system utilises Windows authentication for access to the software
•Organisational structures and position details are updated daily from the directory meaning that changes made the directory are reflected in interplan
•There is a single point of data entry within the organisation for managing organisational structures
•Direct import of financial information without the need for import spreadsheets
•Fully automated updating of financial information in interplan on a daily basis
•Single point of entry for financial data
Service level information is also integrated meaning that changes in responsibility for services are captured once they have been made in the financial systems.
Both Burnside City Council and Carnarvon Shire Council have began the process of implementation, they have already had scoping days and are excited to get underway with the rest of the process shortly. We will keep you posted with updates as they come to fruition.
